I’m a certified beekeeper, certified candlemaker, art therapy practitioner, and practicing herbalist. I have a heart for creating, a love for bees, and a deep appreciation for handmade living. I’ve shared 33 years to the most amazing man, and together we’ve raised three wonderful children. Our oldest daughter is 30, our son is 28, and our youngest daughter is 25.
Family is everything to me. Our oldest daughter celebrated 10 years with her husband. She had their third baby in May 2025, adding to the joy of her two older children, ages 4 and 3. Our youngest was married in March 2025. Meanwhile, our son is happily focused on his career and personal growth.
My creative journey began early on. I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design from UNC-Greensboro. I’ve always had a passion for decorating, crafting, and designing—whether it’s home décor, clothing, or hair bows (though I’ve never been one to follow a pattern!). That same creative spirit eventually led me to explore art therapy, where I now use creativity as a tool for healing, expression, and personal growth.
In addition to my work with bees and candles, I’ve fallen in love with herbalism. I learn to blend nature’s gifts into balms, teas, and natural remedies that nurture the body and soul. You’ll often find me in the garden or in the kitchen, experimenting with herbs and honey.
We live on 17 beautiful acres, with a peaceful creek that inspired the name Little Creek Farm. This land has become a sacred space for creativity, healing, and homesteading. While I’m still growing in my homesteading skills, attending the Homesteaders of America Conference sparked a deep desire to learn more about living sustainably and simply.
Our family also shares a deep love for bees. Not only do I care for my own hives, but our children are commercial beekeepers, managing around 3,000 hives. It’s truly a family affair—and one that keeps us all learning and buzzing with excitement.
In my free time, I enjoy hand-pouring beeswax candles, harvesting raw honey, and creating natural skincare. I share it all at local farmers markets. I’ve also completed eight half marathons, love camping with my family, and find joy in cheering on our kids at every stage of life.
If you have questions, ideas, or just want to connect—please reach out or leave a comment. I’m always happy to share what I know and learn from others along the way.
Thank you for spending a little time with me. I hope your year is filled with light, peace, wellness, and maybe even a little honey and candle glow. 🐝🕯🌿
